Quickstart

Set up your SceneStep account quickly and complete your first steps to experience the platform.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

A modern web browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
A valid email address for account creation
Optional: Node.js (v18+) if using the JavaScript SDK

Create Your Account and Log In

Visit the Dashboard

Open your browser and navigate to https://app.scenestep.com.

Click Sign Up and enter your email, password, and name. Verify your email via the confirmation link.

Return to https://app.scenestep.com/login and sign in with your credentials.

Use your registered email and password.

Dashboard Overview

Once logged in, you land on the main dashboard at https://dashboard.scenestep.com. It provides quick access to your projects and key features.

Projects

View, create, and manage your SceneStep projects.

Analytics

Monitor usage, performance, and insights.

Settings

Configure account, billing, and integrations.

Set Up Your First Project

Create and initialize your first project using the dashboard or SDK.

Create Project

From the dashboard, click New Project. Name it My First SceneStep Project and select a template.

Get API Key

Go to Settings > API Keys and generate a new key named quickstart-key.

Initialize SDK

Install and use the JavaScript SDK in your app.

  name: 'My First Project',

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with the key from your dashboard. Store it securely, never in client-side code.

Basic Interface Tour

Explore the core interface elements.

The left sidebar contains links to Projects, Analytics, Integrations, and Help. Use the search bar at the top to find items quickly.
